Dismiss potential duplicate records

I have a duplicate detection report that I run on a regular basis, I like the criteria that I am searching for but is there a way to dismiss the records that I have already determined are not duplicates or will they continue to pull every time the report is pulled?

    This is possible with custom development in SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).

    I guess I am looking for a solution without creating another key. Is there a way to create a rule to keep the criteria the same but add "if, then" rules on top of it? For example, I don't want to use physician NPI as the criteria since not all records in the system have an NPI. I would like to say, if they have the same name (criteria) and they also happen to have an NPI and those are different then they are not dups.

    Hi Kelly,

    I would think you would want to flag the records as not duplicate in some way to stop this from happening as it will continue to show it as duplicate otherwise.  Example is add something unique on the record like a numeric value field or something like that and add this to the criteria.  You could then setup your duplicate detection rule to add this field as well.

    Hope this makes sense and will work for your condition.

    You can do this by changing the filter criteria for the report.
