Unable to deploy an SSRS Report locally

Posted on by 1,329

Hi,

I was unable to deploy my first SSRS Report  when trying to deploy it locally. Using Visual Studio 2015 Data tools, source is from a local DB created from SSMS. Able to build my report successfully and view the same in VS, but facing errors as below when deploying it.

I tried all alternatives, but it's not solving the issue. Can anyone suggest a way to figure this out...

    Hi Pavan,

You could load the ssrs reports using the rdl file itself tats is the best-way, if you want to use the SSRS reports from an link, I had done with Dashboard check out the below thread,

    community.dynamics.com/.../176141

    srmscrm.wordpress.com/.../370

    www.develop1.net/.../Embedding-CRM-reports-in-IFrames-using-the-CRM2011-Report-Viewer.aspx

I have not yet checked with localhost, I done like after importing the rdl file to reporting server and get the link and used in the  existing webpage option!

    Hi Kishor,

    Thanks for your reply.

Yes i was using the second one. Before actually trying it out on my CRM instance, i just want to test it locally. I do have a source SQL DB from which i generated an SSRS report in VS.

I came to know that we can deploy it locally which is something like http://localhost/ReportServer. Can you share some links from which i can follow.

    Thanks & Regards,

    Hi Pavan,

How are you connecting SSRS Reports with CRM  using rdl file or the options using connecting to existing application?

I think you are using the second option, if so then you should host the report in  the server and then you can connect the using the link, running on localhost throws the error!!
