Hello experts,

I am facing an issue when trying to Receive a transfer order - I see issue - "Inventory dimension Location must be specified." 

When the Transfer order was created and shipped, the default receipt and issue location on the To warehouse was not defined

I went ahead and defined the default receipt and issue location on the To warehouse

I then selected the transfer order>Receive and tried to complete it but its not working

I am seeing this issue

    Hi,

    This error means that the system can’t determine where to place the inventory during receipt.

    Since the default receipt location was missing when the transfer order was created, simply updating the warehouse setup afterward won’t fix existing transfer lines.

    Here’s what you can do:

     

    Open the Transfer order lines, go to Inventory > Dimensions, and manually specify the To warehouse location.

     

    Also check if the quantity is registered, sometimes partial registration without location can trigger this issue.

    Updating the location on the line should allow you to complete the receipt.

    Let me know if it still fails after that.

    Could you change the Update parameter to 'All' and set the 'Explode lines' parameter to Yes?

    You need to specify the location on the TO line for every line in the TO.
    If you don’t find the «Location» field on your TO line - go to Insert dimentions and choose Location. Then specify it.
