Field Service Error for the user Resource on changing the booking status

I believe the field agent who would access the field service mobile app from the phone will be assigned the Field Service 'Resource' role. I schedule a booking for this resource. Then when I login to CRM web-client/mobile-client as a resource, I try to change the status of the booking to completed as excepted. While doing this I get this error :

Field Security Profile Error

You do not have update permissions for the secured fields. If you contact support, please provide the technical details.

 When I try to change the booking status as a system administrator I am able to do so without any error.

As a resource will I not have the permission to complete my booking?

Any suggestion/ help on this would be highly appreciated.

    Hi Mohd,

    You're correct in what you think should happen, the Resource (in our case an engineer), would update the booking status to "complete" when their work order is done.

    You could check the Field Permissions - under Settings->Security->Field Security Profiles->Resource - to ensure the 'status' field is set to Yes for both Read and Update.

    Cheers

    Hi Ed_Merry,

    Thanks for replying. Actually the field 'booking status' isn't present in the Field Security Profiles for Resource. How should I set permissions for it then?

    The field we use for booking status was a built-in field called f1_status, in the Work Order entity;

    Once found you simply select the row, then click Edit at the top of the table to change the permissions.

    Hi Ed,

    I just added a new custom status 'Away' in the list of available statuses. And somehow it works fine now. Even I don't have any idea how come it started working.
