    Hi Henry,

Reference this page for error and solution for troubleshooting regarding FA import.

I would suggest you review the Setup Checklist for Fixed Assets.  Make sure you have not forgotten to set something that pertains to the Book setup.

    Regards,

    Henry,

I do not use the Import/Export routines to import Fixed Assets - I use macros.  Prior to importing using macros, it is important to configure Asset Classes correctly.  The asset classes are how Account Groups are assigned - this is where your accounts come from.  It is also important to map the classes to Books using Book Classes.  If any of these steps aren't performed, then Accounts will not be assigned.

So, while I don't know how the Import/Export routines work, if they are anything like a Macro, these settings are paramount.

I'm with Redbeard, I don't use the Import/Export routines either, especially if I have a lot of assets to import (meaning 500+).  I use Integration Manager.  You need to have the eConnect adapters installed on IM for Fixed Assets.

Just ran into this and found that the book calendars had not be setup, once that was done the macro ran.
