    It is usually the people in Accounts Payable Team, which operate under Finance Team.

    Procurement side → Vendor prepayments (Accounts Payable)
    Finance side → Customer prepayments (Accounts Receivable)

    Question:
    Are you referring to stream of business or you are referring to the security roles within the system performing pre-payment jobs? 
     
    Suggestions:
    1. If you are referring to security roles then it is Accounts receivable clerks and/or Accounts payable clerks and/or Procurment, Finance teams.
     
    2. Finance teams (Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable) are primarily responsible for posting and managing prepayments, while Procurement may initiate the request for vendor prepayments as part of the purchasing process.
