    A few options:

    1. Use an ETL tool or SSIS to move the data into CRM.
    2. If the data is available via a web service, use JavaScript to dynamically retrieve and display the data.
    3. Use an iFrame to display a custom web page that displays the data.

thank you for your support. many thanks !

if i have 2 fields in the main form that requires displaying the external database. should i create a html with java script to get the external database data and save it as web resource ?

If I had the option to connect to a local web service and retrieve/update the data using JavaScript I'd probably do it that way  - especially if you wanted the data updated close to real-time.

    Hi,

    1)

You can use .net stand alone application and schedule this application in one of you machines ,

so it will access your External database data and  stores into your CRM

    Thanks

    Soma

    hi soma,

thank you for your support. what we need is just READ the external database data and show in the form.

it seems like we can only use web resource and using java script to access web service for that purpose.

any other way ? many thanks !

Hi, You also can use SSRS Report then show it into the form using IFrame.
