Substitution on Retail Kits

I am working in retail with kits. I believe I have it setup correctly but it does not appear to allow me to use the subsitution Item to come onto the order.

So I go into retail kits and setup the kit:

I approve it . A couple things:

1 . Do I need to release it?

If I don't, I see are the original lines  from kit but cannot get it to sub, 

Any help is appreciated.

    Hi Kj green,

    You will have to release the kit product in the company because it's necessary to specify for which company you might use the kit product for. 

    You need to release a kit to carry out transactions within a specific company. Only approved kits can be released to companies.

    No, if you have released once it's fine. Any other issue you are having in this?

    The item is released and sub are on. Where to I go to sub out? It is not working.

    Hi, 

    You need to add the kit component in the kit from POS. There the substitute item would be added.

    No it does not appear to do it and I have tried multple times. I am not sure why not.
