Alert option when prices are modified

Good day,

GP License = Microsoft Dynamics GP 10.0 Business Essential.

 I have frequently noticing that the person in charge of inventory normally erases the price of an article, another event I found is that he changed the cost of an article.

 The problem is that I don't have any documentary proof of that i just have seen him done the transactions, now the problem is that ok he has access as a user but I would really like to have a documentary support to back up the problem. Because i don't know why he has to modify the cost frequently.

    Do you know if you are licensed for the Field Level Security module?  I don't know if it's available for Business Essentials or not.  If you have this module, you can limit the use of these fields by password protecting them or restricting them completely for a user or group of users.

     If you are registered for Modifier with VBA, you could take those fields into VBA and write some code so the user ID and maybe a timestamp of the person that changed them are saved into the DUOS tables that GP provides. From there you could create a custom SmartList or other type of report or even a business Alert to notify you when these  fields are changed.

    Good day Aaron,

     Actually Business Essential doesn't bring that option last time I heard it would be available to purchase on May 1, but still waiting on my partner to actually confirm if it's true and the price.

     If this is the only option available then there isn't much i can do at the moment

     Myra,

     You could also build this with a price table, a sql query, an update statement, and SQL job scheduling if you have someone who knows a little about SQL.  Do you have anyone?
