Good day,

In setting up a Landed Cost ID, what is the objective of the vendor ID. I was able to create one without inputting anything. So the question is how relevant is it. I am now setting this up so I have not seen if or how it will affect anything else.

    It allows you to tie a specific vendor to a landed cost ID so when you enter a landed cost on a receipt, you could then enter an invoice for the vendor from the landed cost ID and match it up to the receipt.

    I've always use the below two blogs that do a great job of explaining how landed costs work (part 2 goes in to how the vendor part works):

    Thanks Matt for your response, from what I read am to understand I can create a vendor as per the insurance company. If I have more than one I track each as per vendor?

    I am to associate a vendor with the respective cost.
