Handling Frequent Permission Errors After Microsoft Updates in Business Central Custom Roles

Hello,

We have a situation where the procurement team is assigned custom permissions restricting them to only use Purchase Orders and the Planning Worksheet in Business Central.

However, after Microsoft pushes updates—usually about once a month—users who were previously working fine suddenly start getting permission errors requesting access to codeunits, table data or other permissions they never needed before.

This results in frequent complaints about permission errors.

We want to continue providing finely segmented custom permissions without these interruptions. What is the best approach to manage and maintain these permissions so that users do not experience errors after updates?

This issue is very urgent and causes operational delays. Your guidance on how to resolve it effectively would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.
