Unable to Edit or Create records in UCI for few entities

Hi Folks,

We are about migrate to UCI from old interface. For this, we created a new organization using Production solution and enabled UCI in this App to test the Web resources related customizations.

But noted that for few entities, we were unable to either create or edit any existing records in the new UCI interface, however the same works for other entities. Please note that we were facing issues with Main Form and only in UCI, no issue with old interface and using Quick create.

The page remains read-only and used to get struck at this page and unable to navigate to any other screen from here every time.

Already tried to remove all the JavaScript on the form but that didn't help. 2020 Wave 1 features are enabled.

Read-only in Unified Client in Disabled in our case....snap below

Did any one faced the same issue with Custom entities in UCI ...

    For the contact entity, I confirm it shouldn't be read-only.

    Can you try these steps?

    1. Retry to check + save + publish, and then uncheck + save + publish the "Read-only in Unified Client" option on the Contact entity.
    2. Double check that the form on which on you removed all JavaScript web resources is the same as the one referenced in your model-driven app definition.
    3. Double check that the fields are not set as "read-only" individually on the form.
    4. Double check security to make sure the user you are testing with has write privileges on the contact record.

    If all these fail, please consider opening a support request to get help troubleshooting that issue.

    Hi Henry,

    Thank you for immediate reply...To say exactly it is System entity(name: contact) to which we have added additional customizations as per needs...

    I see contact entity is not in the list...

    Hello Pavan,

    I can't see the details from the screenshot, can you confirm the entity name and if it's custom or not?

    A few system entities are still read-only on Unified Interface, as documented here:
