Zero balance invoices showing on statement

Hi there,

The client has payment allocations and invoices showing on their statement where the balance for each invoice is zero - see below.  In this case neither the invoice or payment should show.  This is only happening for one customer. Statement type is Open Item.  What can i check to see what the problem is?

    Hi Jo

Did you apply the Payments to the Invoices?

    Jo -

Did some digging. With that partial print screen, it’s hard to tell what is happening.  It is mentioned that the statement type was open item, and  invoices on this statement have a zero balance.  It is suggested to run a query like this in sql server.  Example: If INIR066237 is the first line on the statement, and it shows an invoice for 7555.50, and what looks like a balance of 7555.50.

select stmtdate, stmtbal, docbal, * from ardoc where refnbr = 'INIR066237'

When you run that query, what is the stmtbal and what is the docbal?  If the docbal is 0.00 and the stmtbal is 7555.50, then they probably just need to close the statement cycle again.  If the docbal is 0.00 and the stmtbal is 0.00, but the statement is printing a balance of 7555.50, then it is suspected that the statement is customized and there is a problem with the customized report.

    I hope this helps.
