We have a request from CN regarding the WHS label validation process.
We currently validate our VDA labels (packaging No.) created in D365, against the license plate number on our internal labels.
Now the request is, to use a validation process in D365, to validate our license plate number from D365 against an label (Odette), created in the customers portal.
Meaning, we should scan our internal label (license plate No.) against the the external label, to verify the item number, qty and verification no. (external packaging no., not matching our packaging number in D365) on 2 external labels (two labels created for each box with a different verification no. "Packaging No. + 1" resp. "Packaging No. + 2" on each label)
Somehow, that makes no sense to me, to validate parameters from D365 against parameters from a different ERP (resp. customer portal), as there is no real match and not really what the warehouse management process in D365 is about.
But wonderning, if anyone had a similar scenario, that our internal label should not be used for validation but an external created label is taken for the validation and how resp. where you create such a verification in D365.
