This error is very generic but is related to code trying to handle a null/empty value

Do you have customised code (plugin, custom activity workflow) on that entity where the look up is?

to find the real cause you will need to check the code since online does not have tracer.

are you checking if the field is present on the property bag?

if you have a field called X, before trying to access it's value, add a "if (context.contains(new_myfieldname)"

I guess you need to make sure the plugin is working correctly and not writing a null value but the plugin should only work on the onsave so I'm not sure it is causing this problem.

You should also check to see if there is any Javascript being triggered on the onload

    Hi Ben,

I have two different user, with different security role. when i am trying to select lookup using A user then i m getting error. When some thing done with system admin, then their is no issue. I have checked properly security role of A user, i has create, read, append and append to privilege on contact and custom entity.

JavaScript is present on onLoad form. Plugin is running asynchronous mode(on create).

    Hi Nilofar Mulani,

First thing is you should not delete any field from your solution, once it is deployed. Because in next deployment, it will expect same field with same data type.

So as of now, is there any chance to delete this field in production Environment? If yes then delete it and re-create field in your Development Org and Import solution again.

Hope it helps you. If not, Kindly open new thread and post your question. So people will helps you
