inventory allocation history

Hello friends ,

quick question,

it is possible for me to see history of old inventory allocations? 

 

For example, last week  an item was allocated and this week it is not.  I would like to know what it was allocated to.? is there is anyway to see the history even is SQL ?

    No this is not information that is retained anywhere in the database, unless you have specific products or scripts to capture it, and by default you wont.

    For example, we take the nightly backup once a week and restore it into our test company (automatically -google how to do this) for users to hack around ideas.

    Sometimes if the timing is lucky, this can be helpful for quickly checking data as it was the previous week. Other than that, you are into restoring your backup from back then into a test server to check this which may be more effort than it is worth to you.
