What ever happened to Project Connector in SL 2015?

I have asked about Project Connector for SL 2015 before (https://community.dynamics.com/sl/f/35/t/142104.aspx), and found out that it indeed is unavailable.

I'm confused, though. Project Connector still appears in the marketing literature:

and it still appears in the SL 2015 Employee and Resource Maintenance screen (PA.EMP.00) in the current release.

We'll likely have to write custom code to perform some of the same functions as Project Connector.

What happened to Project Connector? Will it ever be available for SL 2015?

    Dear Chuck,

    Project Connector is not included because the project server program was re-written...where there were 4 db's now there is only 1 (much like PS2003) the whole architecture has changed and therefore the whole thing on the SL side will need to be totally redone.  I have not heard as to if they will get that done in SL2015 at this time.

    Hello Jana,

    Do you have any update on the Project Connector for SL2015?  Without the connector, Microsoft Project and Dynamics SL are not integrated at all correct?

    I believe it will not be shipped with 2015 at all.  MS has not made any decisions (still).
