Need to close my retained earnings account by selected dimension

Hi All,

I need to close my retained earnings account by selected dimension, But In business central I can see the debits/credits the income and expense accounts appropriately and includes for each account and includes the property code [dimension] and owner code[dimension] that is closed by dimension but there is only one entry to the retained earnings account. There needs to be an entry to the retained earning account for every property that includes the appropriate owner code as well.  Is there any way to achieve this?

    You can use this option to mention dimensions

    May be then I do not understand your question. Do you want to split the balancing entry to retained earning account based on dimension?

    As per my knowledge its not possible on retained earning side.

    There is an addon Plexada BuildingBlocks that I have not used, but that may have this functionality.

    As I told I got its info from the link I pasted.

    You can try another way:

    - Close Income statement with Dimension.

    - Remove the Retained earning entry

    - Export the remaining entries to excel

    - Change the account no to retained earning account on all lines

    - Change the amounts sign

    - Import it back to NAV in same journal

    Hi,

    run the Close income statement and mark in this field : Details.

    Then also select the dimension code.
