    Hi Ccruz,

What do you mean by special system views?

All the system views are considered special views because the system needs it, unlike the custom view that you can have or not, it wont affect the system

    technet.microsoft.com/.../dn509578.aspx

    "System views

As a system administrator or system customizer, you can edit system views. System views are special views the application depends on, which exist for system entities or are automatically created when you create custom entities. These views have specific purposes and some additional capabilities."

Public view is category means all the view under this are available for public, it is not Personal view.

So, if you talk about view, you can have:

    1. System View vs Custom View

    System views are special, especially:

    - Quick Find

    - Advanced Find

    - Associated

    - Lookup

    2. Public vs Personal view

Personal is only you can see while public is sharing to all users across the system

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks

There are some views which do not show up under system views when you are looking at the view selector - in a way, those are "special system views":

    - "associated view" won't show up

    - lookup view

    - quick find view

    - advanced find view
