Task Synchronization from Dynamics 365 to Outlook incorrect. Going to UTC

Hi all,

I'm having some issues. I've set my mailbox to server side sync for appointments, tasks etc. and when I create a task in CRM with a due date of for example the 23/01/2019 at 6am. The task syncs to my Outlook for the 22/01/2019. It appears that the due date field in tasks is pushing the date values back to Outlook in UTC time. I've been searching for a way to resolve this but haven't found one yet any help would be greatly appreciated.

I've ensured both Outlook client and CRM timezone is set to my local time but it does not seem to resolve the issue. Also note that our organisation has the Dynamics 365 App for Outlook installed for all users.

Kind regards,

Mike

    Hi,

Make sure your timezone in Personal Settings in D365 is also set to your local time.

    Hi Priyesh,

Yes the timezone for my personal setting is set correctly. I also checked the timezone in Outlook and it appears to be set correctly also.

    Kind regards,

    Michael

I'm having this same issue.  Time zone is definitely set correctly in O365 preferences, D365 preferences, and machine (and they all match).

    We worked around it by:

    1. experimenting to find out after what hour in the day it would put it on the right day (later times were working, whereas earlier ones were going to the earlier day - but strangely, it wasn't the number of hours that we're behind GMT)

    2. implementing tasks to be only day showing in CRM, not time

    3. having a workflow on task creation/date modification that sets the time on/after that magic working time interval
