    Hi
Sorry, I don't completely understand, what version are you using? Is it standard? or do you have any customization?

    Hi,

In Business Central, the “Price under View Columns For” field automatically adjusts based on the Price List Type and existing setup. You cannot directly force it to remain as “Price” only if the system logic requires “Price and Discount.”
    Workarounds:
    > Ensure the Price List Type is set correctly (e.g., Item Price).
    > Check if a Customer/Item/Unit of Measure combination already exists, BC may combine price and discount automatically.
    > Use a custom report or view if you need to display only Price without Discount.

BC’s behavior here is standard; manual override in the UI is not supported.

    Thanks

    Hi,

The behavior you're seeing when selecting “Price” under View Columns and it auto-switches to “Price and Discount” is tied to how BC handles pricing visibility in the new pricing experience.

    Here’s what’s happening:

The View Columns field in the price list setup controls what columns are visible on the price lines. Even if you select “Price only,” BC may default to “Price and Discount” if discount fields are populated or if the pricing experience is set to show both by default. This doesn’t mean discounts are being applied, it’s just a UI preference.

    To manage this cleanly:

    • Confirm whether the New Pricing Experience is enabled in Feature Management. If it is, this behavior is expected and cannot be overridden at the user level.

    • If you want to restrict visibility to “Price only,” ensure that no discount fields are populated in the price list lines and that the price list is created fresh without any inherited discount logic.

    • You can also try toggling the View Columns field after saving the draft, sometimes the UI resets based on the underlying data structure.

    • If your environment has customizations or extensions, check whether any logic is overriding the default View Columns behavior.
