We have Microsoft Dynamics Gp 2010 and I am trying to find out if there is a way to make sale orders from a template.  We have one customer that wants the same thing every week.  Is there a way to do this?  Thank You!

Yes.  In the Sales Transaction Entry window, look up the order you want to copy and click Actions>>Copy.

You might also consider using a repeating order, an additional benefit with a repeating order is that it keeps track of how many times it repeats!

How do you use a repeating order?

The Order Type ID must be setup to allow Repeating Orders in Sales Order Processing Setup.  Then when entering the Sales Order, you click the expansion button next to the Document Number field, mark the Repeating Order box, the times to repeat and the frequency.

    Hi Jared,

Frank gives you good advice on how to use it. The trick is setting up the ID to begin with. In the Sales Order Setup window (get there from the SOP Setup window, button on the bottom of window or drill back on Order ID), put in a new Order ID. In the Allocate by: field, it cannot be line item. Change it to Document/Batch, or None. At that point you can check the 'Allow Repeating Documents' box under Options.

Now you can pick up with Frank's advice. You will use the same order ID over and over and then just keep transferring that order to an invoice.

    Kind regards,

    Leslie
