Dynamics 365 for phones and tablets slow opening up

I am trying to persuade our sales team to use the Dynamics 365 for phones and tablets app on the road to check prices and fill in customer meeting notes, but they complain it is very, very slow to open and use. they are faster opening the webpage on their laptops....

I tested it out myself and indeed it takes 10 or more seconds to get a white page (i think the home page is not configured) and they then can switch to sales or whatever app they need.

We don't use Field service but I can't imagine that tech guys on the road have this kind patience to wait to see their visits or fill in a form. So there must be a way to get these apps working for sales too no?

I checked the general articles to make the D365CE faster but that's more for the webapps on our PC's, not specific to android/iphones.

I saw there is a Dynamics 365 for phones and tablets app and a separate sales app, but that is even slower. also the viva sales is not very fast or workable.

Any suggestions on how you guys work with sales people on the road?

    Hi ez Jurgen,

It is influenced by multiple factors: network speed, server, and device performance.

Our easiest efforts lie in keeping more memory, reducing the number of forms loaded at once, and limiting the number of records displayed through security roles.

Others are the result of plug-ins and excessive workflow, which is not a problem for laptops but is a challenge for mobile devices with much lower device performance.

Besides, regarding the network, the field service can use the offline mode to ensure the operation in some scenarios, such as subway.

    Hi Haig,

    Thanks for the reply,

    1. What is your experience in opening the app, how many seconds does it take?

    2. Could you comment also on what is the correct app dynamics sales app or the Dynamics 365 for phones and tablets app?

    Hi ez Jurgen,

1.In fact, I've only ever used field service on my mobile device.
The first time it took me about 10 seconds to open it, but the next few times it took me only 1-3 seconds to open it.

I tried closing the background application and reopening it, this time it took 3 seconds.

2.Here is the difference between them:

This is what I'm using now:
