Hi all,
without going down the full approval route procedure is there any way I can have a group of users alerted whenever a sales order is created?
Many thanks

Yes, you can alert users on sales order creation. Three ways:

    1. Workflow: Set up a simple workflow in Business Central that triggers on sales order creation with no approval or action required, just configure it to send a notification to specific users.
    2. AL Code Customization: Create a subscriber to the OnAfterInsertEvent of the Sales Header in AL, and use the Notification system to send in-app alerts to specific users when a new sales order is created.
    3. Power Automate: Enable the change log on the Sales Header table to track insert events, then use Power Automate to detect new sales orders and send email or Teams notifications to a user group.

    Hello,

If you don't want to go into the Approval Process then you need to Customize the same to Notify the Particular Group of Persons to be Notify by Creating Sales Order.

And Also you can achieve this by way of Power Automate Flows.

There's nothing using standard functionality that can do this, you can either customize the system to do it or use power automate.

Not in standard. You can do customisation or go with Power Automate.
