If I upgrade from Business Central Essentials to Premium for manufacturing

Can I create Production BOMs from existing Assembly BOMs when upgrading from Essentials to Premium

    Hi Ross - As soon as you upgrade from Essentials to Premium, you will get access to the Manufacturing module in BC, that's right. However Assembly BOMs and Production BOMs are 2 separate aspects

    1. These 2 are two different tables, if you are looking to migrate your BOM (Recipe) from assembly to production, you'll have to do it manually by configuration packages

    2. The way these 2 BOMs operate is totally different, so you'll find extra columns on the P. BOM header & line. In fact the way these 2 modules operate is totally different, let alone the BOMs

    There is no straight link in BC/NAV from A.BOM to P.BOM directly
