INVT-TRANSFER POST Permission set in Business central

Hello everyone,

I’m trying to locate the permission set “INVT-TRANSFER POST” in the Business Central sandbox environment, but I’m unable to find it.

Could you please confirm whether Microsoft has renamed or replaced this permission set? If so, I would appreciate it if you could share the updated details or equivalent permission set.

I can see this permission set in our on-premises Business Central system, but it does not appear in the sandbox environment.

Thanks in advance for your help.

I have the same question (0)

    Hello,

I believe the Business Central sandbox does not have the same permission sets as the on-premises environment. However, you can check the available permission sets in the sandbox, and if anything is missing, you can create a custom permission set to achieve the same functionality.

Also you can refer to :https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/business-central/ui-define-granular-permissions

    Hope this helps.

    Hello,
Most likely this is not a simple rename, but a difference between legacy/on-prem permission sets and the newer extension-based permission model in BC online/sandbox. Microsoft changed permission delivery starting from BC 2021 wave 1 (v18), where system permission sets moved from database data to AL permission set objects/extensions, so older names you still see on-prem can be missing in sandbox if that old set was never carried forward as a Microsoft permission set in the online app. In other words, INVT-TRANSFER POST may be a legacy permission set from your on-prem app/customization rather than a current standard online one. The practical check is to look for permission sets around transfer orders / inventory transfer posting in sandbox and compare the actual included object permissions, not just the name. If your on-prem set is custom or legacy, the clean fix is usually to export/copy its permissions and create your own permission set in sandbox with the same access.
