Word Layout not saving alignment

I exported Built-in Word Layout for Sales Quote and opened in Word. Changed the Alignment of the Item No field from Left Align to Center Align. Save and re-open the Layout in Word. The Alignment goes back to Left Align. How can I fix this problem?
