Security field permission error

Hi,

We using 2016 On-premise server.

By using the tech note, i followed same but getting below error. Pl help

The error description told you what's wrong - Are you trying to set read-access to yes? Do you have the systemadministrator role?

Yes, I have the sysadmin role and trying to set up read access for specified users.

Can you please add the user separately in the field security profile and then try again.

Have you activated field security for this field entity right before? As it turned if you don’t publish the entity after enabling field security for a field and try to configure profile for the field, you get this error.

Hi,

I tried the above trick but getting error even for sysadmin. i double checked the role.

also trying to disable field security to the field which got enable but even not happening for that also.

Hi Sayed ,

Create one new Field Security profile with all privileges set to yes and then assign the user which causes the issue and then try again.

Hi Gowtam,

Issue is fixed, let me brief what was the problem.

Issue was with the security role, recently there was issue with CRM administrator login because of accidentally sysadmin role was removed. Later in the forum got solution how to role back sysadmin privilege. Because of this security role was affected.

Finally i resolved through tool called "XRMToolbox", in that user manager utility. I just removed and re attached sysadmin role and this issue got fix. All these happen because of above issue.
