Cannot choose item number for production order

Good morning,

I am a beginner in SCM (currently focused more on finance, but also expanding my knowledge in SCM). Some time ago, in a shared test environment, I carried out the production of item D0002 (a sample item from the USMF company). Today, when I tried to run the production again, I encountered a problem - I can’t find this item in the drop-down list of items for production (on Create production order tab). It simply doesn’t appear in the list.

How can I fix this so that I can select this item for production? What could have caused this change?

Thank you in advance

    HI,

Please share screenshot of the item in released product with legal entity visible.

Also screenshot of you applying filter in the create production order form

There's a few things you could check. If the item being made is a Formula item, rather than a Discrete BOM, check to see if you can find it when clicking "New batch order" instead of "New production order"

You can also check the Default order settings on the Released product to make sure it is setup as a Produced item:

    Hi,

    Hope you are doing well!

Pls check on the released products page > Manage inventory (Action tab) > Default order settings
The default order type should be production.

And Check if item is blocked for production.
Also if the item is a formula item but you are creating a production order instead of a batch order (Which is wrong), System shows it in the drop down but it gives you a warning as shown below:

Here P0001 is a formula item.

    Hello again,

    1. Default order settings is set to production
    2. I'm not sure where can I find blocking option for the released product
    3. Both in "New production order" or "Batch production order" the item is not visible on the list

I attach the screenshots, the filter is D00*

    Hi,

The lookup for Item IDs on production orders is showing the released products that are of type Item and where the Item model group is a group where the Stocked product field is enabled. You can check if D0002 still meets these two conditions. In case this is OK, then check if there is an ISV solution or customization active that hides more records for you.
