Masterplanning - Requirement date and action messages

Hi

We are running Planning Optimization and see some strange planned purchase orders with requirement dates many months before the demand. In below example we have an item running Coverage code = Period 30 days. We have a Demand forecast in January + february that is covered with a planned purchase order with a Requirement date already October the 3rd. We have 1 days of issue margin. Negative days = 5. Positive days = 360 days. Coverage time fence = 360 days. At the same time it gives us an action to postpone the order to January. Can anyone give some inputs to why the requirement date is placed so early? The delivery time is 70 days and I should expect the order date to be in November but the requirement date to be in January.

The fullfill minimum is set to 'Todays date'. But I found a solution. Seems that when using Planning Optimization other demands can consume from a Planned order generated to cover a safety stock. When inventory stock level go below the safety stock this is just the trigger to create a planned order, but it can be pegged against a future demand such as a Demand forecast even if this is far into the future. But investigating this I found that if I set the 'Strict safety stock pegging' to 'Yes' in my coverage group then this issue do not happen. The setting means that a planned order generated based on a safety stock level
    can't cover other demands.
