Hi,
I followed the procedure given by Tabrez in this post, however, I am stuck in the last part. After I restore the database, edit the instance's DB information, and restart the instance or service, it stopped and prompts and error ServerInstance 'MicrosoftDynamicsNAVServer$BC150' failed to reach status running due to the following error: 'Cannot start the service'. When I checked the event log it says The description for Event ID 216 from source MicrosoftDynamicsNAVServer$BC150 cannot be found.
Thank you in advance.
Hello,
Please do raise a support call with Microsoft if this is still an issue. One thing we do sometimes see if that the demo install creates a demo database called Demo Database NAV (xx-0) while the BC install expects Demo Database BC (xx-0).
Thanks.
The BC instance actually started when I am not going to install the SQL Server components. So, what I did was not install it, and just restore the database and edit the DB information in the BC administration. Unfortunately, when I start the BC instance, it stopped because of the error.
Yes, there is a full access.
confirm, that the service user has full access to the database.
