    Hi,

You need to create a page extension of Posted Purchase Invoice Lines and add the posting date field there.

At the moment only fields available in the page object can be added via personlize.

    Hello

To include the Posting Date on the Posted Purchase Invoice Subform in Dynamics 365 Business Central, you can achieve this by creating a Page Extension. Here's a step-by-step guide:

    • Identify the Base Page:
      • The subform is typically based on the Posted Purchase Invoice Subform page, which displays lines from the Purch. Inv. Line table.

    • Create a Page Extension:
      • In your AL project, add a new page extension object. Here's a sample code snippet:

    Hello,

If you're working in a sandbox environment and want to add the Posting Date field to the Posted Purchase Invoice Lines view, you can use the Design feature in Business Central without writing any code. The Designer allows you to modify the page layout by exposing fields from the underlying table.

To do this, navigate to the Posted Purchase Invoice Lines page, click the gear icon in the top-right corner, and select "Design". Once in design mode, use the + Field option to search for "Posting Date", then drag and drop it onto the list view. After placing the field, click Save, name your extension, and publish it. This will make the field visible on the page in your sandbox.

However, keep in mind that this feature is only available in sandbox environments, not in production. If you want to move this change to production, you’ll need to download the generated AL extension code from the sandbox and deploy it using Visual Studio Code as mentioned by other professionals. This approach is ideal for testing and prototyping UI changes before pushing them to a live environment.

Hope this answer will help you!

    Regards,
    Mansi Soni

Hi, This field exists in the standard table, so you can add it by following the method below, which does not require customization.
Business Central 2023 wave 2 (BC23): Add existing table fields to optimize your pages (Adding Table Fields to Page without Page Extensions)

    Hope this helps.
    Thanks.
