Can anyone give a clear definition of what the Read License info misc privilege does or gives access to? This is found on a Security Role on the Business Management tab at the bottom. I have been unable to find anything concrete with an explanation.

Hi Megan,

this privilege is simply used to to retrieve the number of used and available licenses for a deployment of Microsoft Dynamics CRM. It would be majorly used by Developer to read this information but its very rare. And the message RetrieveLicenseInfo is used in the plugin too.

Thanks Rawish, so would a user with this privilege see anything different in CRM compared with a user that does NOT have this privilege on their security role?

Hi Megan,

No, there would not be a difference in CRM UI - this is something which might be used by crm internally or as mentioned above.
