Sales Orders - Duplicate Authorization Occurring when Invoicing in Update 10.0.44

We are experiencing an issue in update 44 where an additional authorization occurs during the invoicing process. This can be seen in both the ADYEN and custom payment connectors. Below are ADYEN test logs where the initial authorize occurs when submitting the sales order. Then, an additional authorization occurs when the invoice is invoiced (captured). This is new in update 44, we have not seen this occur in previous updates.

    I'm 99% sure this is D365 F&O (SCM) or Commerce, am I right?

    I don't immediately recognize this in the LCS issue search; I'd say maybe have a look with a debugger to see why it's trying to authorize the payment again. However I'm not that well versed in Commerce.
     
    My best guess is that it has something to to with the stale payment parameter, but it's fully a shot in the dark.

    We were also encountered with the same issue on version 10.0.44 (10.0.2263.52) and then we ran the quality update from the LCS and when we updated to this 10.0.44 (10.0.2263.54) version, the issue was resolved for us.

    Unfortunately, we are still seeing the same repeat authorization issues after applying update 10.0.2263.74. I believe a later version would include any fixes applied in 10.0.2263.54. I have a case opened with Microsoft and will post the resolution once it has been discovered.

    Any updates on this from Microsoft?  We are seeing the extra authorization issue with the Adyen connector after updating to 10.0.44 as well.  We updated to 10.0.2263.83 but the none of the quality fixes addressed the issue for us.
