Has anyone ever seen this error when trying to setup email for onprem BC (specifically BC 18)
AADSTS90009: Application '47440e10-5555-5555-a932-0922e37ad8c5'(47440e10-5555-5555-a932-0922e37ad8c5) is requesting a token for itself. This scenario is supported only if resource is specified using the GUID based App Identifier.
We have Azure authentication enabled and that is working fine (users can sign in to the onprem bc install with their microsoft 365 credentials). When I try to setup the email capabilities I get the error noted above in the application log and in business central the error window is "We could not get access token with the current setup".
The redirect url, client secret and client id are all correct (and the error above notes the correct aad app id).
I set the email specific permissions based on this article
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/business-central/admin-how-setup-email#setting-up-email-for-business-central-on-premises
Hi,
if everything should be correctly setup up, usually a workaround to resolve this is to:
1. Go to Email Accounts page.
2. Select the email account who is used to send mails.
3. Invoke the Send Test Email action.
