Customer already has a Contact Business Relation with Contact

Hello,

I'm trying to link the new contact with the existing customer in BC. I followed all the steps as described in Create Business Contacts - Business Central | Microsoft Docs.

However, when I want to link the new Contact to existing customer I'm getting the below error.

If I go directly yo the Customer and try to create new Contact. I get no errors of course.

I do not understand why I get this error message.

    Hi

    Your error might be misleading. Which version of BC do you have?

    When you create a contact with type: Person. the business relation is with another contact with type = Company. Therefore you get an error if you click on Business Relation in the contact card

    If I create a new 'Person' contact and I try to create a business relation I get an error.

    When I create a new contact from a customer page, while the new contact is still created with type Person, the business relation exists through the contact with type = Company

    In order to create a new contact Person and link it to a customer, you need to fill the Company field in the contact card.

    The Business Relation will be created automatically

    Hi

    We have 2 types of Contact. Company and Person. For Person you can select the company name in contact and select the company and that is all you need to link it to Company. 

    For customer:

    Customer - Contact link is record in Business Relation table. Search for Business Relation then click on CUST then search for that customer. This link is one-o-one link. But each customer can have multiple "person" contact that is why you can create contact from customer.

    Try Remove Link step then add link back.
