    Hi Siv,

On the project contract, you can setup one or more funding sources and specify a percentage for the revenue allocation. Have you checked the project contract setup for the revenue allocation to the funding sources?

    Hi,
You can check this blog How Project Funding Allocation works with amounts that exceed Funding Limits - Microsoft Dynamics 365 Blog, it provides the steps for project funding allocation and gives an example, and it mentions the same error message as yours, you can check your allocation rules and fund limits, please pay attention to this point it mentions : If the amount required to be allocated in a rule would exceed the amount acceptable within the funding limit, an aspect ratio is required to maintain allocations across all funding sources.
    Best Regards,
    Hana

    Hi,
There have been users on the forum who have encountered similar problems to you, and the consultant has given a solution, you can refer to this old thread: Error 'Revenue could not be allocated. Verify that funding rules have been set up to allocate the revenue'. while posting a item's journal in Project Mgmt & Accounting (dynamics.com). It is suggested that go to the project contract and look at the multiple funding sources (payment retention terms tab).
    Best regards,
    Kevin
