Hi,
Currently we are using on-prem version of Business Central, and we are evaluating our options to migrate to the cloud version. Basically, I'm looking forward to using Power BI, automated workflow, etc... my worry is that we have done many local customizations and applications created by the developer to fit our business model, and I am not too sure if these customizations will migrate to the cloud version, does anyone have experience with this? would this a massive project that I should reconsider, or is migration easy enough with Azure migration tools?
Thanks & Regards
Wael
If your question is related to Data then yes, if you have those custom fields/tables in Cloud
If your question is related code customizations then you have to manually convert those NAV customizations to AL Extensions.
Hi, just adding some info.
And the following is the slide about Cloud Migration in the BC2022 wave1 launch event. Hope this helps as well.

Hi
WE are currently doing something like that with a customer and I saw that everybody told you about migration paths and things like that.
some time ago, i put 2 posts in my blog about this process and if you are looking for the future problems, what i going to find? What should I take into account? go to the links, if you use edge, you can translate the blogs to english o whatever language you want.
yes, I know im talk about NAV instead of BC, but you need to move your actual developments to the cloud, same as nav to bc cloud, even if you dont want to move your data, code is the real problem, How much will it cost me to move all the developments?
Thanks a lot Zhu, this is quite useful, the only question I have is that, will the additional customization we have done to the ON-Prem version also migrate to the new Cloud version, i.e. additional tables, fields, etc... ?
