How to re-create pick job for a Sales Order once stock is available again for the required items (Advanced Warehouse)?

Posted on by 22

Hi

Wondering if someone can assist.

Scenario 1:

  • SO created for an item(s) currently not in stock.
  • SO released to Warehouse
  • No pick job is sent to the Warehouse (as expected)
  • When stock is replenished in x amount of days/weeks, no pick job is created for the SO

Scenario 2:

  • SO created and half of the items are in stock.
  • SO released to Warehouse
  • Pick job is created and pushed to the mobile app
  • Warehouse team short picks via the mobile app
  • When stock is replenished in x amount of days/weeks, no new pick job is created for the remaining qty on the SO

How do we make the system automatically create a (new) pick job for an existing SO once the item is in stock again in either scenario?  We can manually trigger it, but that would require someone to go through numerous Sales Orders, and know which Sales Orders are still requiring stock.

Note: Short Pick Work Exception has "Automatically decrement shipment or load" enabled

Hi Danny, that was the missing link, thank you so much. After configuring the "Automatic Release of Sales Orders" and options as you suggested, our short picked orders are now released to the warehouse again once stock has come in.

    Hi DanCap,

Here is how you would do this:

    1) on Warehouse, enable the toggle 'Reserve when orders are release by batch job'

    2) Configure the Automatic Release of sales order (see below) to execute as a batch

    3) Adjust the 'Include records' query conditions to focus on the orders you want released (eg. ship date less that todays date) and the desired recurrence (eg. every hour, or every weekday at 07h00, ...).

    4) click ok and monitor the batch job's effect and change the batch paramters as necessary until you obtain what exactly you want.

Can you send a screenshot of "Sales default values" in "Accounts receivable parameters"  ?

Did you try to add reservation to Sales Order when you have stock ?

You need to reserve stock before release of warehouse

Hi. don't believe so. All the reservation settings on the Warehouse are not enabled (screenshot in my post should show it), unless there's another section to set this?

Do you automatic reservation when you released items to warehouse ?
