GP 7.5 data migration. Pervasive V8 to MS SQL

We are running Great Plains 7.5 on Pervasive V8 we need to migrate the database to MS SQL 2000 then uprade to GP10. We are on a microsoft business ready enhancement plan but there is no support for GP 7.5 on microsoft website.  How do I possibly get the migration tools and instruction sheets?

The KB doc is here but it's little help since the links are dead:

You have to find old GPA for DOS people like us in this group. We still have the old P.SQL to M.SQL conversion kits. It would be quicker if you were to send us the data and have us do the conversion but the choice will be yours. I am sure you will get several responses on this. I could send you the conversion tool if you prefer to go it alone. Is the goal to go all the way to GP 2013 or are you going to stop at GP 10? If only to GP 10, why?

I have still got the migration utility for GP 7.5 pervasive to GP 7.5 SQL Server. Perhaps you can message me your contact details and I will e-mail it to you.

We currently use GP for financials and Exact/Max for SO/PO and MRP. Max is only certified at this point for GP 10. primarily we have to get up to GP8 to get back into the MS support window

Understood. But with the migration tool you can get off pervasive and onto SQL Server, then from there you upgrade from GP 7.5 SQL to GP v8 SQL and onwards. I think you can go straight from GP 7.5 to GP 9.0 if I recall correctly.

The migration tool is just the first step in your route forward.

Usually you can jump two versions a time but you always need to check exact jumps. That is why we image everything so if we screw up we just start over and no harm done.

My primary goal is to migrate GP 7.5 on Pervasive to GP 7.5 on MS SQL 2000. Then GP7.5 to GP 8.0.

at that point I can get support from GP to upgrade to GP10 on MS SQL 2008. Im just stuck on the migration because I can't get it through the proper channels. (Exact or GP) and yes, I'm using virtual servers and clients on internal networks for everything related to the upgrades. if anything goes awry i just load a template server or client and start over. when the entire process is tested, retested and documented I will move to the live server.

Hi Olly Laos, I am in need of the migration utility for GP 7.5 pervasive to GP 7.5 SQL. I had the floppy disk version from about 10 years ago and it seems it no longer readable. Let me know if you have a copy you would be willing to share.

    Thanks!
