Error connection to CRM Discovery Service

From visual studio when I create a new Dyanmics CRM 2011 Package and enter in  

CRM Discovery Server name: crmstage/XRMServices/2011/Discovery.svc

Port number: 5555

Protocol: HTTP

I receive the error:  

Metatdata contains a referenc that cannot be resolved:

'http://crmstage/XRMServices/2011/Discovery.svc:5555/XRMServices/2011/Discovery.svc?wsdl'.


My setup is as follows:

The url does work as well.

    Update: I've tried another production instance of CRM 2011 with its Discovery service endpoint and I received the same error.
