Reopening activities once marked as closed

Hi,

Is there a way we can programme Dynamics so that we can reopen tasks/ activities once they are marked as closed. We have a staff member who keeps closing off their activities (we have phone calls and meetings as different entities) when they are not finished and they have to delete them off and start again so just wanted to check if there is a way we can either run a function to reopen or add a button along the top so we can reactivate a activity the same way we can reactive a contact, close reopen leads etc.

Hi,

I tried implementing one on-demand workflow on phone call entity as shown below:

When i ran the above workflow it is working for me.

You can run a workflow to reopen a closed activity,

or you can use the ribbon workbench to create custom buttons to do it:

Create a custom button on the entity form and update its status using JS or create on demand workflow for it.
