Testing processes / workflows in Sandbox

Hi

I am setting up some new workflows in Sandbox and trying to test them, however everytime i try and test it cancels the workflow and the following error states:

"The async operation was skipped because the org is in “Disable Background Processing” mode."

Is there anyway I can test workflows in Sandbox before putting them into Live?

Thanks

    Hi Jess,

Sandbox organizations have the ability to turn on and off background processing.

    Thanks for that.

What impact does turning it back on in Sandbox have on Live?

    Hi Jess,

As mentioned in the blog :

Sometimes, even with no users signed into the system, asynchronous operations may result in your CRM application reaching out to an external service.  With this mode enabled, all asynchronous operations will be cancelled.  This includes workflows, sending email, Exchange sync, and Yammer.

on your live evvironment - nothing will happen to existing  cancelled processed , only the inprogress & new ones will start taking effect.
