create a lead from an e-mail

Hi all  - A little new to this so dont judge!!!

I am trying to find out if it is possible to automatically create leads in CRM via sending an e mail from outlook? I run a sales team that received leads from the web, via phone and e mail. I have the web leads automatically created, the phone leads are entered manually however it would be great for the e mail to create the lead. I dont mind if i have to use a set template or email - any help would be great

    There is email to Case (http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics/crm-customer-center/automatically-create-cases-from-email-or-social-monitoring.aspx) but no Email to Lead out of the box at this time.  Here are some options:

    1. Setup CRM workflow to check on email and create a lead

    2. Use email to case (see above link) and setup CRM workflow to check on the case and create a lead

    3. Use 3rd party options

    Hi HMEHARRY,

    Yes you can create leads in CRM from outlook. You will need to use the automatic tracking function .

    You need to have installed CRM for outlook to use this.

    You can refer to this link on how to go about it.

    www.microsoft.com/.../set-an-option-to-automatically-track-incoming-outlook-email-in-crm-for-outlook.aspx

    This will create leads fro incoming mails but not sure about outgoing.

    A workflow might also help.

    Please suggest me the way to Convert the email into a CRM opportunity or lead  from outlook.I dont want to do it manually .Is it possible to perform the same thing by automatically mean by some OOb functionality ,workflow or Plugin.

    I want to do the same thing automatically.
