Print Check For none client, customer, or employee

Hi

We have occasional classes and people sign up for them through Paypal. We just record lump sum of payment in G/L account. But sometimes we need to refund some of these people.

Is it anyway to print a check from BC if person not a customer/vendor/employee/etc? I mean in the above example how we can print a check from BC that has correct name of person?

Thanks

Yeah the journal line description field is the CheckToAddr if the vendor (or other record type has no address details). Use a payment journal. Create a specific batch for it

    Hi Josh

Thank you for your help. I believe this method will work great. The only part that I don't know how to do it is the following.

journal line has the name of the winner added.

In which journal and where I can add a winner name in order to print on check?

    Thanks again for your help

Recent client I worked with issues a raffle winner cheque. To avoid creating a new record each time they use a generic vendor called raffle winner. The necessary vendor bank details are added and the journal line has the name of the winner added. They needed different cheque layouts so adopted this handy technique: https://youtu.be/hPMWTToSO1A
