Xrm.Page.ui.formSelector.items.get(itemId).navigate(); error

Hi there,

Working on customization of the forms and I'm using Xrm.Page.ui.formSelector.items.get(itemId).navigate(); method to switch between 3 entity forms however I'm getting an error below every time I attempt to execute it:

SCRIPT5007: Unable to get value of the property 'raiseEvent': object is null or undefined

form.js?ver=-2007247209, line 1 character 19837

SDK code from this page msdn.microsoft.com/.../gg309560.aspx throws the same error.

Any help appreciated.

Dave

    Hi Dave,

Can you please let me know if you're using CRM Online or CRM On-Premise and what version of Internet Explorer you're using?  I know that there has been at least one issue in regard to that particular method (on IE9, specifically) that has been addressed by an Update Rollup.

    Hi Jon,

Using both Online and On-Premise 2011 UR12. IE9 and IE10. The form in question is under Settings>Business Management>Facilities/Equipment.

    Thank you in advance,

    Dave

    Jon,

To see the error use parameters below and navigate to the path previously mentioned. Once there create new record.

    login.microsoftonline.com

    test.user2@test346.onmicrosoft.com

    Hi Dave,

Thanks for the additional information. Did this issue only begin occurring after the environments were upgraded to Update Rollup 12? Have you ran the Custom Code Validation Tool to see if the code is valid in a post-UR12 environment?

    Hi Jon,

Can't really say if this issue existed prior to UR12 on that particular form as we are only now customizing this entity. What I can tell is that this code works on other entity forms ie Contact, Accounts etc.

As CCVT the answer is no.

    Thank you,

    Dave

    Hi Dave,

I would highly recommend running the Custom Code Validation Tool to make sure that all of your code is supported in Update Rollup 12 and beyond. If no issues are found, then I would suggest opening a support case to investigate this further.
