Sold To and Ship To for Fields on a Packing Slip

Hi:

I'm printing the "warehouse shipment (posted)" document as a packing slip.

I'd like to place the Sold To and Ship To fields in the header of this document.

But, I cannot find the warehouse tables that contain these fields.

The main table that I'm working with is the Posted Warehouse Shipment Lines.  Is there a table that I can join to this that would give me these fields?

Thanks!

John

    Hi John,

The header-level information (like Sold-To and Ship-To) resides in the table: Posted Warehouse Shipment Header (7320)

    This table includes:

    • Source Document (typically "Sales Order")
    • Source No. (the document number)
    • External Document No.
    • Location Code
    • Shipment Date

To get Sold-To and Ship-To details, you typically:

    • Use the Source Type and Source No. from Posted Whse. Shipment Header.
    • Use those values to lookup the original source document — usually a Sales Shipment or Sales Order, depending on your process.
    • Join with: Sales Shipment Header (110) and Sales Shipment Line (111)

    Thanks
    Ramesh

    Dear John

You can link the Warehouse Shipment Line with the Sales Line using the following fields available in the Warehouse Shipment Line:

Source No, Source Line No = Order No, Order Line No (Sales Line)

In the header, you can display the sum of all quantities being sold, but not specific item details.
Please note: if the items have different base units of measure, summing them is not advisable, as it could lead to incorrect totals.

The common link between Sales Shipment Line, Sales Line, and Warehouse Shipment Line is:

Order No, Order Line No = Source No, Source Line No
So yes, you can certainly retrieve the required data using these relationships.

Hope this answers your query. If it does, please mark the answer as Verified.

    Regards

Posted Warehouse Shipment Lines -> Posted Warehouse Shipment Header -> Sales Header -> Customer (for Sold To) and Ship-to Address (for Ship To)

You'll use the "Warehouse Shipment Header No.", "Order No.", and "Sell-to Customer No." and "Ship-to Code" fields to navigate between these tables in your report or query.

    Hello John,

The Posted Warehouse Shipment Lines table doesn’t directly store the Sold-to and Ship-to information, as it's focused on item-level data. To get the Sold-to and Ship-to fields, you need to join with the Posted Warehouse Shipment Header (Whse. Shipment Header Archive or Warehouse Shipment Header depending on version and posting), which contains the Source Type and Source No.. From there, trace back to the Sales Shipment Header or Sales Order using the Source Type = Sales and Source No.. This allows you to access customer-related fields including Sold-to and Ship-to addresses. So, use the Posted Warehouse Shipment Header as the bridge between lines and source sales documents.

Hope this answer will help you!

    Regards,
    Mansi Soni

Hi, One thing to note is that one Warehouse Shipment can correspond to multiple Sales Orders (1:N). Printing only the Sold To and Ship To of the first order may cause problems. It is recommended to print these on lines.

    Hope this helps as well.
    Thanks.
    ZHU
