(+) in new grid is opening a wrong quick create form

Hi Guys,

If I go to Project Service --> Project Contract

Open any existing Contract form then there is a subsection called Contract lines under which there is a grid called Project baseline, like the below screen

If I click on the (+) of the project-based line then it opens a wrong quick create form "quick create order line"

We have noticed this from 18th April. How to revert it to open the correct form.

Can anyone help, please?

Hi SPAdmin,

Although you can define multiple quick create forms, only one quick create form can be used by everyone. The form everyone will use is set using the form order. Quick create forms cannot be assigned to security roles and they do not provide the capability for the user to switch forms. You will need to ensure that the quick create form you want to display is the first quick create form for the entity.

I need some more clarity because I am not an expert in Dynamics CRM.

First of all, let me clarify one thing to you that I do not have multiple quick create forms. My concern is currently the quick create form which is opening is not the correct one for all user. It used to be a different quick create form before 18th April, I do not know how it got changed. So I am not where I need to check for this? I did some initial research and understood that quick create form opens when you have a (1:N) relationship kind of thing. But I am not sure where I should start my investigation.

Hi SPAdmin,

It sounds like someone may have altered the quick create form but you can adjust the quick create form to meet your requirements or create a new one. You can create and edit quick create forms by following this article.

Maybe the correct quick create form is present and I just need to relink it? I am not sure how we can link a quick create form with a new grid (+) option. Can you please help me to understand that?

You mentioned that you do not have multiple quick create forms so it should already be linked.

Can you provide me a screenshot of the active forms by opening your Default Solution and navigating to the forms section of the Sub-Grid entity?

I am not sure which entity it is, should it be the order entity? Can you see the entity name as per my screenshot?

Hi SPAdmin,

Double click the Sub-Grid from the form editor. On the Display tab you will find a Data Source section that will tell you the primary data source.
