D365 FO "TYPE" option in PO & SO order lines

Hi , I am exploring to add the comments section in PO & SO form, and got to know about 'TYPE' field option available in PO & SO order lines however, this field is greyed out and not be able to add anything.

is there anyone who knows how this feature is useful in the business and for what purpose we can use it?

It's not an editable field; it's used to show images indicaing the line delivery type. It's based on LineDeliveryType field in PurchLine, but the field isn't visible in UI and I don't know how it's used by the system.

Update: It seems to be related to Delivery schedules.

Type field represents a different picture based on the fact if the delivery is Single Delivery or it would be multiple deliveries to ship that product.

You can maintain delivery schedule of the line using Sales Order Line >> New >> Delivery Schedule (button)

You can see in the following example how I have set the 3 deliveries for the total quantity of 10 for one SO line
