Milestone invoices from sales order processing module

Hi,

I have requirement to give milestone invoices like 50% as advance, 25% on installation and 25% after completing the project from sales order processing module.  Please inform is there any possibility or options.  I do not want to use project accounting module.

    I would setup an Order with the three lines you describe above with a services item (or three even) then fulfill each and transfer to invoice (order type must have allow partial transfer checkbox checked) as you reach billing milestones.  One order, three lines, transferred to three invoices with one line each over time

    I would do slightly different than @Tim W. Setup 3 orders: one for the 50%, one for the 25%, and one for the other 25%. You can then set up a process hold on each document, to be removed only after each milestone has been completed. The process hold would be password protected and will prevent orders from being transferred without authorization. I also like each individual order, because it gives you some flexibility in case a milestone is not met. You can create credits that can be applied to each invoice for each milestone so you can know where you failed to deliver in the process, as supposed to creating a credit that applies to an overall invoice.
